I've got some fairly choice words for Apple on this. How something that has worked reliably for decades has been made dysfunctional in 2 versions so far is beyond me. I now have a combination of iCal scripts, Jettison, Mountain and SuperDuper to manage disk sleep and wake times as the iMac is always on. Basically ridiculous.
